Frequently Asked Questions

Questions before you reach out?

Here are answers to what people usually ask before their first session. Don't see yours? Just get in touch.

What happens in a first session?

We'll spend the time getting to know each other — what brought you in, what you're hoping will change, and how I work. There's no pressure to have it all figured out. Think of it as a conversation, not an evaluation.

Do you offer in-person and online sessions?

Yes. I see clients in person in Bronxville, NY, and offer online sessions for clients anywhere in New York State.

Do you accept insurance?

Yes — see the full list of accepted plans further down this page. If your plan isn't listed, reach out anyway; private-pay and superbills for out-of-network reimbursement are also options.

Do you offer a sliding scale or affordable therapy options?

Cost shouldn't be the reason you don't get support. Reach out and we can talk through what's realistic for your budget, including sliding-scale and private-pay options.

How long are sessions, and how often do we meet?

Sessions typically run 45–50 minutes. Most clients start out meeting weekly, and we adjust the pace together as things progress.

Do you work with kids, teens, and couples?

Yes — I work with children, adolescents, adults, and couples. During a consultation we can talk through what would be the best fit for your situation.

How do I get started?

The easiest first step is booking a free 15-minute consultation through the scheduler on the Contact page, or reaching out by phone or email — whichever feels easier.

If your insurance isn't listed here, reach out anyway — plans and networks change, and private-pay or out-of-network reimbursement (via superbill) may still be an option.
